God, in His divine perfection and purpose, makes reference to our spiritual survival using our physical needs as illustrations in the Gospel of John. In order for life to exist, food, water, air, and light are needed. These four elements maintain life. Without sunlight in the universe, all the living things would die. Similarly, we cannot live without air for a long period of time. If we do not breathe, we will die within a short period of time. We also must eat and drink in order to sustain our life.
The Lord Jesus said that He came that we may have life and may have it abundantly (John 10:10). In order to maintain this life given by the Lord Jesus, light, air, food, and water are needed. Yet, even with all of these items, there is still the need for a dwelling place (John 15:4-5). This dwelling place is the Lord Jesus Himself, we abide in him. Therefore, Christ being our life, food, water, breath, light, and abode shows us how vital He is to us!
The Water of Life: John 4:13-14 "Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
The Breath of Life: John 20:22 "Then he breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit."
The Bread of Life: John 6:35 "Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."
The Light of The World: John 8:12 "Therefore Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. The one following Me shall not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life." #JoinUsForMoreTomorrow #TLM #EndTimesTeaching #BlessYouNow
